"I learned a lot about myself while on this trip. I think my biggest learning would be to be happy and content with the situation you are in. Some of the groups we would meet would have difficult backgrounds, yet they met us with open arms, enthusiasm and smiles on their faces. Life in Thailand made me realise that it's the little things that make a difference." - Rachel, 2014

Community Arts Programme
This fully funded, eight-week programme takes the winner on a unique trip to Chiang Mai, the second largest city in Thailand which is located to the North of the country. While on the programme, you will have the opportunity to gain a genuine understanding of the culture and the challenges faced by local people. You will take part in local volunteer work that supports Burmese refugees, indigenous groups, single mothers and children with disabilities by facilitating art workshops. These workshops are not only fun and therapeutic, but teach skills needed to support a local economy through crafts and marketable items.
